Accessibility Statement

Last updated: March 1, 2026

BoopMart is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience of our website and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance Standard

Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Accessibility Measures

BoopMart takes the following measures to ensure the accessibility of its platform:

  • Full keyboard navigation: all interactive elements are accessible via Tab, Enter, and arrow keys.
  • Screen reader compatibility: we use semantic HTML, ARIA roles, and aria-label attributes to convey meaning and structure.
  • Color contrast: our design system maintains a minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text.
  • Focus indicators: all interactive elements display a visible focus ring (focus-visible) for keyboard navigation.
  • Alt text: all images include descriptive alt attributes. Decorative images are properly marked.
  • Semantic HTML: we use elements such as nav, main, article, section, and aside to provide clear document structure.
  • Reduced motion: we respect the user's prefers-reduced-motion preference. Animations are functional, not decorative (150-400ms, ease-out).
  • Accessible forms: all fields have associated labels, clear error messages, and aria-invalid and aria-describedby attributes where applicable.

Technologies Used

BoopMart's accessibility relies on the following technologies:

  • Semantic HTML5
  • WAI-ARIA 1.2 for interactive components (dialogs, menus, tabs, selectors)
  • CSS with relative units, media queries, and user preferences
  • SVG with accessibility attributes (role, aria-hidden, title)

Assessment and Testing

We assess BoopMart's accessibility through:

  • Automated testing with axe-core integrated into our E2E test pipeline (Playwright).
  • Manual keyboard navigation testing on all main pages.
  • Screen reader testing (VoiceOver on macOS, NVDA on Windows).
  • Testing on Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile devices.

Known Limitations

While we strive to ensure accessibility on all pages, some third-party components (such as Stripe's payment form) may have accessibility limitations that are outside our direct control. We work with these providers to improve the experience.

Feedback and Contact

We welcome your feedback on BoopMart's accessibility. If you encounter accessibility barriers, please contact us:

Enforcement Procedure

If you do not receive a satisfactory response to your complaint, you can file a claim with Spain's Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation, which oversees compliance with web accessibility requirements in the private sector.
